Employee Track

The employee track is for a foreign national who works for a foreign business entity or public-sector institution and continues to work remotely in Czechia using telecommunications means.

The employee remains employed by the foreign employer and does not enter into an employment relationship under Czech law. CzechInvest describes this track as a long-term visa for the purpose of other.

Freelancer Track

The freelancer track is for a foreigner who is or will be the holder of a Czech trade licence for IT-related business or marketing services.

This track points to the long-term visa for the purpose of business. That means the immigration file and practical setup are closer to a Czech self-employment file than to a simple visitor-style remote-work permit.
