Short Version

LetsMigrate.org does not use advertising trackers, analytics cookies, user accounts, comments, behavioural profiling, newsletter signup tracking, or marketing pixels. Search runs locally in the browser through Pagefind. The site processes only the data needed to deliver the website, keep it secure, and handle messages that visitors choose to send.

Website Hosting And Logs

The site is hosted on infrastructure provided by IONOS in Germany. The public website is generated as static HTML, CSS, JavaScript, images, and search-index files. When a page or static file is requested, technical access data may be processed by the server and hosting provider. This can include the requested page or file, date and time of access, browser and operating-system information, referrer information, and the visitor IP address.

IP addresses and related log data are used only for technical maintenance, abuse prevention, troubleshooting, and security. They are not used for marketing, profiling, or visitor tracking. Server logs are retained only for operational and security purposes and are deleted or rotated when no longer needed for those purposes.

Search

Site search uses Pagefind. The search index is downloaded as static files and search queries are processed in the visitor's browser. Search terms are not sent to LetsMigrate.org as a separate analytics event.

Contact And Correction Forms

If a visitor uses the contact form or the "flag a mistake or gap" form, the submitted information is used to read and respond to that message. Depending on the form, this can include the subject, message text, optional reply email address, the page being reported, basic technical metadata needed for spam prevention, and the time of submission.

Form submissions use a privacy-friendly anti-spam check: a honeypot field, a timing check, and a simple same-origin challenge. LetsMigrate.org does not use Google reCAPTCHA or similar third-party captcha services.

The forms are handled by a self-hosted endpoint on the same server as the website. LetsMigrate.org does not use an external form provider, does not store submissions in a third-party form dashboard, and does not add form submissions to a newsletter list. Submitted messages are sent to the publisher by email through Brevo SMTP as the mail delivery provider. Brevo processes the email only for mail transport and related delivery handling.

Direct Email

If a visitor sends an email directly, the email address, message content, headers, routing information, and any attachments are processed so the publisher can read, manage, and respond to the message. Email delivery or forwarding providers involved in ordinary mail transport may process technical delivery data. Emails may be retained where needed for editorial records, security, or ordinary correspondence management.

Cookies And Local Storage

LetsMigrate.org does not set analytics or advertising cookies. The website does not require user accounts or login cookies for ordinary public reading. Browser-side functionality may use temporary in-page state to operate forms or search, but this is not used to profile visitors.

External Links And Official Sources

Articles link to official government pages, EU pages, and other external sources. Visiting those external websites is governed by the privacy practices of the relevant external provider, not by LetsMigrate.org.

Legal Basis

Technical delivery, maintenance, abuse prevention, and security are processed on the basis of legitimate interests in operating a secure and reliable publication. Messages sent through forms or email are processed to handle the visitor's request and related correspondence.

Processors

IONOS is used for hosting infrastructure. Brevo is used as the SMTP mail delivery provider for form submissions. Additional email forwarding or mailbox infrastructure may be involved in normal delivery of direct email and form messages.

Rights

Visitors may contact the publisher to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or objection where applicable under data-protection law. Because LetsMigrate.org intentionally collects very little data, some requests may be impossible to identify without additional information from the requester.
