MPO’s condition is important: the closest family members can be included provided they apply for a residence permit at the same time.

• marriage, registered partnership, or birth certificates;
• proof that the family member fits the listed category;
• accommodation evidence;
• funds evidence;
• criminal-record evidence where applicable;
• insurance evidence before visa pickup;
• translations and certifications that meet Czech formal requirements.

Extension And Year-One Planning

The Information Portal for Foreigners says a long-term business visa is valid for a maximum of one year. If the visa was issued for less than one year, it can be extended repeatedly only up to a total period of one year.

If the holder wants to stay longer than one year, the official guidance says they must apply for a long-term residence permit.

Timing For Extension

For a long-term business visa, the official portal says extension can be submitted at the earliest 90 days before expiry and at the latest on the last day of the current visa’s validity. During processing, the person can remain legally in Czechia if the application was filed on time.

Do not treat this as a reason to wait. Appointment availability is not accepted as an excuse for late submission.
