Cyprus’s remunerated employment single permit is the ordinary temporary residence and work route for third-country nationals employed in the Republic. It is separate from the EU Blue Card and from the special policy for companies of foreign interests.

Good Fit

This route is strongest for ordinary Cyprus employment that does not fit the EU Blue Card’s narrow sector list or salary/qualification framework.

Poor Fit

It is usually a poor fit for remote work for a foreign employer, self-employment, Blue Card-eligible high-skill roles where mobility matters, or roles that require a more specific Cyprus category.
