Lithuania Work Permit and EU Blue Card Timeline and Documents

Lithuania employment files are employer-sequenced. The employer side usually needs to prepare the job, vacancy or labour-market step where required, and mediation evidence; the worker side needs the residence-permit application, identity, funds, accommodation, insurance, and background documents.

Practical Sequencing

Do not treat the worker application as a standalone form. The employer file, the labour-market decision where required, the mediation letter, salary level, job title, contract duration, and qualification documents need to tell one coherent story.

Where the worker is abroad, plan extra time for appointment availability, biometrics, document translations/legalisation if needed, and residence card delivery or collection logistics. The Migration Department has also changed external-service-provider locations over time, so the filing location should be rechecked close to submission.
