Turkish citizenship by investment is a nationality decision with practical consequences beyond the investment. A good advisory conversation should cover family inclusion, tax residence, banking, sanctions, passport use, name records, military-service exposure, estate planning, and exit from the investment.
Family
Family inclusion depends on personal facts and documentation. Marriage, divorce, custody, birth, adoption, name-change, and dependent-child evidence should be reviewed early because document defects can slow an otherwise strong investment file.
Tax
Citizenship and tax residence are different questions. Becoming Turkish does not automatically answer where worldwide income is taxed. Residence days, home, business management, investment income, property rental, capital gains, treaty position, and existing exit taxes should be reviewed before and after approval.
Passport and Mobility
Turkish citizenship can add meaningful travel and residence optionality, but it is not EU citizenship and does not create Schengen residence rights. Applicants should compare visa-free access, passport-renewal logistics, consular-service realities, and whether their original nationality allows dual citizenship.
