Hungary employment residence files are residence-permit applications that also authorize work. The worker, representative, or in some Blue Card cases the employer uses the Enter Hungary platform or the consular/in-person route depending on where the applicant is and whether in-country filing is allowed.

Employer Submission

For EU Blue Card issuance or extension, NDGAP says the employer may submit the application if the employee gives written consent and the case fits one of the listed situations. Employer submission is through Enter Hungary, and the worker still needs to appear when the authority needs biometrics or other procedural steps.

Practical Sequencing

The strongest files are built before the appointment or platform submission: route choice, salary threshold, qualification evidence, translations, accommodation, health insurance, employer details, and contract wording should all line up. If the role is ordinary employment rather than a Hungarian Card or Blue Card case, check the current restrictions before assuming a standard work-permit path is available.
