Poland’s business-activity alternative turns on MOS filing and business evidence. The file should prove not only identity and legal stay, but also that the business activity justifies residence for more than three months.

Start with the main Poland business/self-employment guide if you are still checking route fit. For tax and ZUS planning, use the tax and ZUS guide.

Quick Answer

Plan to file electronically through MOS no later than the last day of legal stay in Poland. Build the file around the business form and one of the substantive tests: income, employment, or future economic potential. MOS’s Q&A gives a PLN 340 fee signal for the business-activity temporary residence permit and says the application is processed within 60 days from submission of a complete application with required attachments.

Fee And Processing

MOS’s business Q&A gives the fee for granting temporary residence for business activity as PLN 340. It also says the application will be processed within 60 days from submission of the complete application together with necessary attachments and required documents.

Applicants should still check the current voivodeship office page before filing because local document checklists and payment instructions can vary.

Filing Channel

Official regional guidance reflecting April 27, 2026 legal changes says business-activity temporary residence applications must be submitted only electronically through MOS, no later than the last day of legal stay in Poland. Applications submitted another way are not examined and have no legal effect.

That is a major timing point for remote workers entering visa-free or on a short-stay visa.
